Overview
CFD Research is seeking a talented Software Engineer
to join a well-established team that supports the development and sustainment of Open Systems Architecture Simulation Framework (OSF) under the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). The candidate will support the OSF lifecycle of software development efforts, which include development, integration, and deployment for MDA test and analysis efforts with real-time hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems, tactical software & hardware, and all-digital representations of complex missile defense elements such as AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR, CDU, UEWR, GMD, and C2BMC. The candidate will enhance their understanding of the missile defense system and how each element is integrated into OSF for MDA ground test campaigns. Responsibilities
Develop, integrate, and deploy software for the Open Systems Architecture Simulation Framework (OSF) in support of MDA test and analysis efforts. Work with real-time HWIL systems, tactical software & hardware, and digital representations of missile defense elements. Collaborate with a cross-functional team to understand system integration and streamline OSF workflows for ground test campaigns. Basic Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, or Math from an accredited institution Mid and senior level experience candidates (5-20 years) will be considered Strong containerization skills and experience (Docker, Kubernetes) Strong programming skills in C/C++, C#, and Python, including object oriented Experience with DevSecOps, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), and scrum/agile software development Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and possess an Active Secret security clearance Desired Qualifications
Experience with MDA HWIL test and analysis and simulation frameworks Experience and working knowledge of missile defense architecture, including radars, fire control systems, launchers, and messaging protocols Location
This role is based in the Huntsville, AL area, and is 100% onsite. Benefits
