As the Auditor Specialist II focused on information system control reviews, you are responsible for performing complex data analysis, as well as determining the adequacy of the general and application controls over a wide range of information systems. You develop and run sophisticated data analysis, develop and apply audit procedures to information systems applications, assess the reliability of computer-processed data, and assess compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and requirements. You also function as a consultant to other Office staff and program managers on methods of analyzing data, testing systems and databases, and training on questions requiring information systems expertise. At times, you will perform peer reviews of data analytics code, as well as oversee the control review work of contractors, including reviewing contractors reports and work papers. Specifically, you will: Write data analytics code to analyze large, complex data sets to answer audit questions. Gather, document, and analyze audit evidence related to information system controls to ensure the controls are suitably designed and operating effectively. Assess the reliability of computer-processed data, to ensure accurate answers to audit questions and supported recommendations. Share the methodology, results, and recommendations of audits through written documentation and verbal presentations. Obtain and organize information relevant to the audit in order to make informed analyses, decisions, and recommendations within budget and timeline expectations. Build cooperative working relationships with other audit staff, including providing technical guidance, to ensure cohesive teamwork and efficient audit processes. Assist in advising the office management on developing current trends and standards related to information systems technologies and audits. You desire a monthly salary range of $9,113-$11,982 as well as a longevity bonus. Qualifications

You have strong analytical and communication skills with demonstrated experience synthesizing information and communicating in a clear and concise manner. You have experience programming complex data analysis in R, or other programming languages, such as SAS, SQL, or Python. You have experience auditing information systems, including general and application controls. You have experience using or auditing PeopleSoft systems, including FI$Cal. You possess or are interested in pursuing a professional designation as a Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). You have experience using research and information-gathering techniques; basic principles and practices of descriptive and inferential statistics. You have knowledge of principles and practices of organizational management including planning, organizing, accounting, auditing, and quantitative analysis methods. This position is eligible for participation in the offices hybrid telework program. Work at the alternate work location must be in California and conducted in a space that is ergonomically sound, private, distraction-free, and has safe working conditions to be eligible to telework. Work performed in the office is in an air-conditioned high-rise building with elevator access and both natural and artificial lighting. Work may require sitting for an extended period of time using a personal computer and the use of standard office equipment, such as phones, copiers or scanners. Work may require periodic non-standard work hours and work during weekends to meet workload needs and demands. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
