Cloud DevOps Engineer Tyler Technologies, Troy, MI. Public Safety Division. The Cloud DevOps Engineer collaborates with development and operations teams to build automation and tools for customer migrations. The role focuses on cloud expertise, scripting, and infrastructure as code (IaC) to support scalable, repeatable environments and continuous improvement. Location: Troy, Michigan. Travel: 0-5%. Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, PowerShell, or other scripting languages. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement and manage AWS infrastructure using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools; leverage AWS services such as EC2, VPC, ALB/NLB, Route53, S3, Lambda, Systems Manager, Step Functions, and Image Builder for scalable, repeatable environments. Continuous Integration & Delivery (CI/CD): Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions) to automate testing, deployment, and rollback processes. Single-Tenant SaaS Environment: Understand tenant isolation, customer-specific configurations, and version control within single-tenant SaaS applications; plan deployments, manage upgrades, and ensure consistency across multiple customer instances. Mass Deployment & Rollback: Design strategies to deploy, test, and rollback changes across thousands of EC2 instances in multiple customer environments; work with teams to minimize downtime and ensure swift recovery from deployment issues. Collaboration & Communication: Partner with software development teams to identify automation opportunities across the software lifecycle for hosted clients; develop tools and processes with cross-functional teams to improve deployment reliability and velocity. Observability & Monitoring: Configure and manage monitoring tools like CloudWatch and Datadog to ensure uptime, performance, and rapid incident response; perform root-cause analysis on production incidents and implement preventive measures. Qualifications

2+ years of professional experience in DevOps, CloudOps, Automation, Software Engineering, or a similar role. Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, VPC, ALB/NLB, Route53, S3, Lambda, Systems Manager, Step Functions, and Image Builder. Experience in a single-tenant SaaS environment or strong understanding of its architectural and operational considerations. Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, or other relevant scripting languages. Understanding of data structures (e.g., linked lists, heaps, binary trees) and ability to apply them in automation scenarios. Demonstrated experience using Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC tools to provision and manage cloud infrastructure. Familiarity with Git, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms; knowledge of best practices for branching, testing, and release management. Experience with monitoring and alerting tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar; ability to perform incident investigation and implement long-term fixes. Independent and self-motivated, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively; problem-solving mindset with guidance for complex issues. Passion for defining best practices, coding standards, and design patterns; eagerness to learn new technologies and share knowledge with peers. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or comparable work experience. Required to undergo and satisfactorily pass a fingerprint background check in accordance with CJIS requirements.
