Bacon Plumbing, Heating, Air & Electric is seeking a passionate and qualified Staff Accountant. This position is responsible for providing administrative and financial support services and ensuring efficient, timely, and accurate processing of accounting transactions. In addition, work closely with our other accounting personnel, internal departments, and external parties. This position will report to the Accounting Manager.

This is a 100% in-person role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and post monthly journal entries, accruals and supporting schedules
• Assist in AR Aging reporting and collections
• Process Monthly Bank Reconciliation
• Assist in the monthly, quarterly and year-end close
• Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
• Ad Hoc reporting

Qualifications

• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
• Experience with Service Titan and Sage Intacct preferred
• Working knowledge of General Ledger software packages
• Intermediate knowledge of US GAAP
• Strong MS Office skills with Intermediate MS Excel skills (v-lookups, pivots, formulas)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to meet communicated schedules and deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently with minimal direction
• Experience working in a team environment
• Adaptable to changing environment/technology
• Demonstrated progression of responsibilities during career

Education and/or Experience

• BA/BS in Accounting required
• 2+ years of experience in Accounting
