As a member of our Backend Team, you will play a critical role in building and evolving the systems, services, and APIs that support our global user base. Youll be involved in high-impact engineering projectsworking on the cutting edge of advanced algorithms, distributed systems, video processing, and machine-learning pipelines. As a member of our software engineering team, you will have an opportunity to empower creators and businesses around the world tell their stories with audio, video, and beyond. Responsibilities
Solve Complex Technical Challenges:
Design, implement, and optimize large-scale distributed systems capable of handling enormous throughput and concurrency. Drive Product Infrastructure Forward:
Collaborate with product teams to ensure the platform is operationally sound and enables rapid feature development across surfaces (mobile, web, and beyond). Shape Next-Generation Video and AI Platforms:
Contribute to core building blocks for advanced video processing workflows and AI research efforts. Drive Platform Improvements:
Refine the platform and guide adoption of new technologies or methodologies. Collaborate Across Teams:
Partner with product, web, mobile, and AI research teams to stay ahead of industry trends.
Preferred Requirements
5+ years of industry experience designing, building, and operating backend services in a production environment. Strong computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, concurrency) and proficiency in modern programming languages (Python, C++, Java, Rust). Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructures (GCP, AWS, Azure, or others) and container orchestration (Kubernetes). Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.
