You will be a Sr. Project Engineer who demonstrates leadership, communicates business goals, and supports team management and coordination for engineered solutions. In this role you will drive the performance and quality of an engineering team to ensure that all activities meet short-term and long-term business goals. You will approach customers with integrity and respect to build long-lasting relationships, and use your experience to solve problems and develop objectives for yourself and the team. For this position, we are open to candidates being full-remote or based out of either our Houston, TX office or Lake Mary, FL office. This role contributes to the Electrification Distribution Solutions group in the United States. You will be mainly accountable for: Providing technical leadership to meet business metrics regarding safety, quality, on-time delivery, and talent retention. Effectively communicate with internal and external customers, cross-cultural and diverse teams for successful planning and execution of multi-discipline control systems. Drive the team's technical skillset portfolio for more business opportunities. Travel domestically to customer sites 25% or as needed. Qualifications
Extensive Experience with ABB Zenon/ZEE600 : Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying SCADA solutions using ABB Zenon/ZEE600 (or similar) including dynamic HMI creation, alarming, trending, and report generation. Control System Architecture & Integration : End-to-end control system design and integration, including PLCs, HMIs, communication protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3, OPC), and remote telemetry units. Advanced PLC Programming Skills : Proficient in PLC programming using ABB AC500/PM series, Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Emerson, with experience in power and industrial automation systems. Testing, Commissioning, and Troubleshooting : Experience with FAT/SAT, site commissioning, and root-cause analysis in SCADA and automation environments. Networking : Understanding of industrial networking, VLANs, firewalls, and cybersecurity in SCADA environments. Industry Standards & Compliance : Knowledge of UL, IEEE, IEC standards relevant to control systems and automation, including familiarity with NERC-CIP for power projects. About ABB
