Supply Chain Manager GPS Wearables
Alpharetta, GA 30022
The Supply Chain Manager serves as the senior leader responsible for all supply chain operations, from sourcing and procurement to production planning, inventory management, logistics, and vendor relations. This position ensures a seamless flow of Wearable GPS electronic monitoring devices and accessoriesinto, through, and out of the company. The role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational excellence to support law enforcement agencies, courts, and correctional systems nationwide.
The Supply Chain Manager will collaborate closely with engineering, production, sales, and customer service teams to ensure that device availability, quality standards, and delivery timelines consistently meet or exceed contractual and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Supply Chain Planning
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with company growth and client service commitments. Forecast demand based on contracts, client requests, and device lifecycle replacement schedules.
Vendor & Supplier Management
Identify, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers for electronics, components, and accessories. Ensure vendors meet quality, compliance, and on-time delivery requirements.
Procurement & Inventory Control
Oversee procurement of GPS tracking devices, component parts, charging equipment, straps, and other accessories. Maintain optimal inventory levels to support client orders while minimizing carrying costs.
Logistics & Distribution
Direct domestic and international shipping, including compliance with customs regulations. Manage warehouse operations and fulfillment for law enforcement agencies, probation departments, and other customers.
Quality & Compliance
Ensure supply chain processes adhere to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements relevant to electronic monitoring devices. Partner with engineering and quality teams to address defective units, warranty claims, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Risk Management
Develop contingency plans for supply disruptions, component shortages, and sudden spikes in demand.
Team Leadership
Lead and mentor a supply chain team, fostering a culture of accountability, efficiency, and problem-solving.
Required Skills & Competencies Industry Knowledge
Understanding of electronics wearable manufacturing, GPS tracking technology, and procurement requirements. Strategic Sourcing
Proven ability to negotiate contracts and maintain reliable supplier relationships. Inventory Optimization
Skilled in balancing stock availability with cost efficiency. Logistics Expertise
Knowledge of domestic and international shipping, warehousing, and distribution systems. ERP/MRP Systems
Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) for planning and tracking. Analytical Thinking
Strong ability to forecast demand, interpret data, and implement corrective actions. Compliance
Familiarity with relevant regulations (FCC, DOC, CJIS standards, etc.) and ethical sourcing practices. Leadership
Ability to lead cross-functional teams, delegate effectively, and drive results. Experience & Education Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, or related field (Masters ). 8+ years in supply chain roles, with at least 3 in a senior leadership capacity. Experience in electronics, Wearables, IoT devices, or regulated equipment manufacturing . APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or similar supply chain certifications a plus.
