N/A Responsibilities
Maintain and develop business relationships with a defined supplier list. Find new strategic sourcing opportunities for both ferrous and non-ferrous scrap. Proactively solve problems with suppliers on quality, transportation, safety, and related concerns. Coordinate support functions across production, shipping, and inspection, ensuring source control and accurate recoveries. Interact with key control positions (scale/kiosk) at scrap processing facilities. Travel and conduct face-to-face interactions with suppliers and customers to develop partnerships. Provide financial aptitude to submit accurate purchasing forecasts and evaluate facility financial performance. Manage large supplier accounts with multiple shipping lanes. Execute purchase contracts and manage shipments using multiple logistics providers (Truck/Rail/Barge). Maintain relationships with transportation companies and negotiate freight rates. Coordinate with Production teams on buy plans, delivery, and shipping schedules while ensuring quality standards. Assist in training and development of the commercial peer group. Minimum Requirements
Bachelors Degree. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel. 2 years of experience in procurement or trading of ferrous/non-ferrous metals. Experience negotiating rates with commercial carriers. Detailed Selection Criteria
