Sr. Program Manager - Bioinformatics
at Battelle Battelle is seeking a Senior Program Manager, Bioinformatics within the Health Research and Analytics Business Line. The position location can be remote with preference for Crystal City, VA or Columbus, OH on a hybrid schedule. Periodic travel to Columbus, OH and the Washington, DC area is required. As a Senior Program Manager, Bioinformatics, you are responsible for overseeing and growing the Divisions work in Bioinformatics and related science including biomedical, computational toxicology, computational biology, and Artificial Intelligence. This role serves as the lead for capturing and executing $50M+ contracts and is a key manager for coaching and mentoring team members on shaping, structural, organizational, and partnership requirements to win $50M+, and $100M+ awards. Responsibilities
Oversee and grow the divisions work in Bioinformatics and related sciences (biomedical, computational toxicology, computational biology, AI). Lead capturing and executing $50M+ federal contracts. Coach and mentor team members on shaping, structure, organization, and partnerships to win $50M+, and $100M+ awards. Develop and manage capture strategies, milestones, and schedules; ensure alignment with budget and risk management. Translate complex technical and scientific concepts into clear verbal and written communications for stakeholders at varying levels of technical knowledge. Ensure timely development and delivery of compliant, responsive, innovative, and cost-effective technical solutions and management approaches for proposals. Collaborate across teams to achieve program goals and drive continuous improvement. Key Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in bioinformatics or technical field; at least 12 years of progressive responsibility in business development, program management, or technical management; or equivalent experience. U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain Secret clearance. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time. Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of health and biomedical analytics; experience with AI for predictive and advanced analytics. Masters Degree or higher in Bioinformatics or related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification. Benefits
