We are seeking an
Application Engineer
to join our growing team and play a critical role in bridging the gap between Sales and Manufacturing. This position ensures enclosure projects are accurately scoped, quoted, and smoothly transitioned into production. You will work closely with Sales Executives, Manufacturing leadership, and suppliers to confirm technical feasibility, refine proposals, and deliver accurate project quotes that align with both customer expectations and production capabilities. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, coordinating across departments, and using their technical skills to deliver projects that set both the company and customers up for long-term success. Base pay range
$75,000.00/yr - $85,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Review customer proposals and technical requirements for feasibility and accuracy. Collaborate with Sales, Manufacturing, and suppliers to confirm costs, materials, and lead times. Develop comprehensive proposals including cost estimates, specifications, and project timelines. Ensure alignment between Sales and Manufacturing by balancing expectations and delivery commitments. Utilize SolidWorks/AutoCAD to review and adjust designs when necessary. Build and maintain estimate sheets, tables, and costing models in Excel. Act as the key liaison ensuring projects are properly scoped, quoted, and set up for production success. Qualifications
Must Have: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred). 35+ years of experience in application engineering or new product development. Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD). Skilled in project costing, material estimation, and proposal preparation. Strong Excel skills for building models, tables, and cost sheets. Solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes. Excellent communication skills with the ability to balance priorities between Sales, Manufacturing, and customers. Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals. Nice to Have: Experience working directly with suppliers and vendors for quotes and lead times.
