Overview
Supports and optimizes BMIs cloud-native infrastructure, with a focus on Kubernetes orchestration and Azure Databricks integration. Collaborates with Software Developers, Quality Assurance Analysts, Scrum Masters, and Network Operations teams to automate, execute, and validate software deployments, ensuring consistent and reliable delivery across all environments. Remote - (US) Responsibilities
Essential Functions: which may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position. Develops and maintains GitOps pipelines using Argo CD. Implements Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using Helm and Terraform. Establish observability tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Datadog) for proactive monitoring. Designs and implements CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for Databricks notebooks and jobs. Automates CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications and Databricks workflows. Integrates Databricks with Azure services like Data Factory and Key Vault. Mentors other technical staff and provides architectural guidance for development and infrastructure improvements. Develops automation scripts for unit tests, software builds and deployments. Develops automation scripts to manage an Azure environment. Defines and maintains Change Control process standards and methodologies. Supports deployment of software applications and services on demand within defined outage windows. Participates in development, testing and implementation phases in support of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Maintains Source Code Control and Release repositories. Manages application versions and dependencies. Participates in multiple, concurrent projects of varying sizes and complexities. Participates in technology and design discussions. Creates software release and change control training materials. Performs user training and guidance to development teams to ensure compliance with defined change control processes. Provides regular verbal and written status reports to management. Creates, maintains, and presents technical documentation to different audiences and levels. Evaluates and adopts new tools to improve build release processes. Ensures the completeness of all required documentation. Other duties as assigned. Regular attendance. Position Qualification Requirements
Education:
Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or Math or equivalent industry experience Experience:
Seven (7) years DevOps or related experience. Three (3) years managing cloud infrastructure. Firsthand experience working as a DevOps Engineer. Skills And Abilities
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes (AKS preferred). Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Experience with standard source control systems (GIT and TFVC). Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and Git-based workflows. Solid scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell). Experience with continuous integration and deployment best practices. Agile software development methodologies. Must possess the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be a collaborator who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication, including a willingness to occasionally work in a pair-programming environment. Must possess strong analytical and technical documentation skills. Must possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions. Must have an exceptional understanding and firsthand experience with design and development best practices. Detail orientation and strong diligence. Must have progressive achievement in job history. Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, when required. Understanding of SDLC automation concepts such as continuous integration.
Salary Range
The specific base salary offered to a successful applicant will be based on individual qualifications, skills, experience, and education. The pay range is subject to change at any time based on various internal and external factors. The position may also be eligible for one or more performance-based bonuses.
