Job Summary

The Human Resource Coordinator assists with and coordinates human resource processes. This role administers ServiceSource’s policies, programs, and practices. This position includes a focus on recruiting, new hire onboarding, data entry into the HRIS, creating and maintaining personnel files, and administration of employee data changes. The Human Resource Coordinator provides support to the HR functions as needed including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entries, as well as adherence to federal and state regulations.

Primary Duties

  • Ensures all new hires receive onboarding documents, completes I-9, verifies I-9 documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
  • Ensures that all new hire onboarding processes are completed prior to first day of employee’s hire date.
  • Conducts New Hire Orientation for newly hired employees.
  • Performs clerical functions including photocopies, scans, emails of documents, processing outgoing mailings, and ordering office supplies.
  • Prepares and maintains new employee personnel files. Accurately retires records of former employees.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Researches and responds to requests for reference checks and verifications of employment in a timely manner. Participates in HR compliance and HRIS data audits as required.
  • Collects and processes requests for benefit programs including tuition assistance and leave donation programs.
  • Performs customer service by answering employees’ questions and requests.
  • Assists with new employee background checks and submits online request forms to background check vendors.
  • Assists Training department with communicating, tracking, and scheduling employees to complete required training.
  • Ensures proper filing of documentation into appropriate employee files.
  • Participates in HR compliance audits as requested and assists with the out-processing of terminated employees.
  • Assists with recruitment and interview processes; tracks status of candidates in HRIS and follows up as required.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • An Associate degree in Human Resources or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least three years’ related experience required.
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Working knowledge of HR principles, practices, and procedures; understanding of basic employment laws.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team; excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite or related software; ability to learn and become proficient in operating HRIS.
