Description
Boar's Head Resort is seeking an experienced and dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our leadership team. This individual will play a key role in supporting a positive and productive work environment across all departments of the resort. The HR Manager will oversee recruitment, employee relations, compliance, compensation, and performance management initiatives aligned with our commitment to excellence in hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Staffing:
- Lead the full-cycle recruitment process for all resort departments.
- Partner with department heads to forecast staffing needs and ensure talent alignment.
- Manage onboarding and orientation processes to support team member integration and retention.
- Employee Relations:
- Serve as a resource and advocate for team members and management on workplace matters.
- Investigate and resolve team member concerns in a timely, confidential, and professional manner.
- Foster a culture of respect, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Compliance & Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Maintain and update team member handbook and HR policies as needed.
- Oversee all documentation related to HR processes, team member files, and audits.
- Benefits & Compensation:
- Assist in the administration of team member benefits and compensation programs.
- Lead and manage compensation studies to ensure competitive, equitable and market-aligned pay structures across all roles.
- Stay current with market trends to inform strategic compensation decisions.
- Collaborate with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate processing.
- Communicate benefit options and changes to staff clearly and effectively.
- HR Systems:
- Maintain and enhance HRIS and applicant tracking systems (Paylocity).
- Analyze HR metrics and prepare regular reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in hospitality or a service-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
- Proven experience in compensation analysis and market benchmarking.
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
- SHRM or HRCI certification is preferred.
