Electrician 1 Job Responsibilities:

• Completes assigned work orders and PM orders to maintain the reliability and integrity of the electrical infrastructure in the hospital.
• Responds to emergency calls to correct electrical failures during evening, night, weekend and holiday periods.
• Maintains a knowledge of Environment of Care and Life Safety code standards.
• Maintains and repairs all deficiencies relating to the fire alarm system to provide a hazard free environment for the patients, staff and visitors using the buildings; Maintains the fire alarm system in accordance with the NFPA and Life Safety code requirements.
• Controls and completes issued paperwork for EOC corrections.
• Evaluates and determines the resources necessary to accomplish electrical construction requirements for assigned renovation projects.
• Wears appropriate safety equipment and complies with departmental and OSHA safety standards at all times.
• Follows hospital infection control/universal precautions at all times.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 3 years of experience in an electrical trade
