Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

FLSA Status: Exempt

Summary

We are looking for a motivated and driven Plant HR Generalist to join our team. The Human Resources Generalist manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. Talent Acquisition is a big part of this position, so the Plant HR Generalist must have exceptional communication skills and experience developing recruiting processes and resources.

The Plant HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment and selection, employee relations, training, benefits management, and data entry functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who can relate to individuals at all levels within the organization.

Responsibilities
  • Talent recruiting and retention.
  • Drive recruiting and onboarding efforts for all non-exempt positions, including sourcing candidates, creating recruitment plans, conducting interviews, handling pre-employment processes, and conducting new hire orientations.
  • Maintain employee records in HRIS, including new hires, transfers, terminations, job classification changes, and tracking paid time off; perform data entry.
  • Assist with FMLA administration.
  • Employee relations and company-wide events facilitation.
  • Company employee communication and benefits administration.
  • Records management and unemployment claims handling.
  • Payroll processing and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Perform other related HR or administrative duties as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resource Management, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of HR or similar experience.
  • Well versed in HR compliance including EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
  • Experience with recruiting at all levels and applicant tracking systems.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Intermediate knowledge of UKG (UltiPro) payroll system preferred.
  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and experience handling sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and see projects through to completion.
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule, including working additional hours to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a team manufacturing environment.
