Overview
As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) at Prosper, you will be instrumental in enhancing the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of our technology platform. This role bridges the gap between application development and infrastructure, ensuring systems are robust, observable, and easy to maintain. A key focus will be leveraging Generative AI to standardize engineering processes, improve application reliability, and boost developer productivity and platform scalability. You will also contribute to optimizing deployment workflows, observability practices, and overall operational readiness.
Responsibilities
Improve system resilience, observability, and maintainability by aligning application frameworks with platform capabilities.
Automate the provisioning and configuration of cloud infrastructure to support scalability and operational efficiency.
Empower our engineering teams by fully embracing and advocating for DevOps culture through self-service tools within the SDLC.
Enhance the developer experience, particularly in local development environments and CI/CD deployment processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote engineering best practices throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Participate in the team’s on-call rotation to ensure the stability and reliability of production systems.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in software, platform, or site reliability engineering.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving complex technical issues across the stack.
A strong understanding of observability best practices.
Proficiency in one or more of: Java, Node.js, and GraphQL (preferred).
Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably using GitHub Actions.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.

The salary for this position is $154,000 - $211,000 annually, plus bonus and generous benefits. In determining your salary, we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
