Cherokee Town & Country Club, one of the nation's premier private clubs, is seeking an exceptional Lead Bartender/Mixologist to join our team as we launch a newly renovated entertainment space at our Town Club in Buckhead. This is not your average bartending role-it's a unique opportunity to showcase your craft, connect with members, and enjoy a rewarding career in a supportive and professional environment.
Why This Role Is Different:
Steady Income: $28–$30/hour, non-tipped-no more worrying about slow nights or unpredictable pay.
Balanced Schedule: Work Tuesday–Saturday (Sundays & Mondays off). The bar closes at 11pm, so no late 2am nights.
Leadership & Autonomy: Supervise a small team of two cocktail servers while running the show behind the bar.
Exciting New Space: Join us ahead of the October 16th grand opening, with training beginning October 1st.
Beyond the Bar: In addition to running our new Main Bar, you'll also represent Cherokee at special events, weddings, and private parties-bringing your hospitality and bartending expertise to every occasion.
What You'll Do:
Deliver a warm welcome to members and guests, exceeding expectations with a winning personality.
Bartend with creativity and precision (40%), while focusing on hospitality, conversation, and connection (60%).
Craft timeless classics-martinis, old fashioneds, wines-while adding innovative touches with fresh garnishes, house-made syrups, and unique twists.
Elevate the beverage experience with proper wine service, cocktail preparation, and presentation.
Curate selections from one of the finest bourbon collections in the world (and if we don't have it, we'll get it). Lead and mentor a small support team to ensure seamless service during both high-energy rushes (5–7pm) and quieter periods. Bring energy, personality, and professionalism to the bar, creating memorable moments for our members.
What We're Looking For:
Previous bartending experience in high-end restaurants, bars, or hospitality venues.
Strong cocktail, wine, and beverage knowledge.
Confidence, professionalism, and the ability to run the bar with both grace and excitement.
A balance of technical bartending skills and genuine hospitality-you know your craft, but you also know how to connect.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
Must be at least 21 years of age
The Interview Process: After a video interview with the Director of Food and Beverage, final candidates will participate in a stage tasting, presenting two cocktails of their choice and preparing four classic cocktails on the spot. We'll be looking at taste, balance, technique, brand knowledge, and how you command the room.
Your Benefits & Perks: Cherokee offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and future, including:
Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)
401(k) with employer match (up to 5%)
Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
Wellness programs and incentives
Paid time off and holidays
Growth opportunities for emerging leaders
Employee recognition & appreciation events
MARTA commuter discount
Free meals while on duty
Free parking and provided uniform
