Senior Litigation Docketing Specialist
Overview: A senior-level opportunity to lead and mentor within a dynamic legal team. This role is central to ensuring calendaring accuracy and compliance, requiring advanced expertise in litigation docketing systems and court procedures. The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who excels in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities: Interpret legal documents to identify and calendar critical litigation dates and deadlines. Create, update, and manage events within the Aderant CompuLaw system; perform manual date calculations as necessary. Maintain the integrity and precision of all docket data; generate and distribute detailed reports for litigation teams. Proactively research, monitor, and track changes to federal, state, and local court rules and procedures. Develop training materials and mentor junior docketing staff on system use and procedural updates. Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and court personnel to resolve complex docketing inquiries. Support the Docketing Manager with special projects and firm-wide docketing initiatives. Requirements:
Education:
A high school diploma is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred. Experiences:
5-7 years of direct litigation docketing experience, with proven expertise in CompuLaw, CourtAlert, or eDockets. Experience in a senior or lead capacity is essential. Other: In-depth knowledge of litigation processes and court rules across multiple jurisdictions. High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). A Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) credential is a significant plus. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines. Compensation and Benefits:
Salary:
$75,000 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience) Benefits:
