Duties and Responsibilities *Assists in managing requests for Biostatistics Core Facility (BCF) services and helps track project timelines and deliverables. *Coordinates training events, consultations, and workshops organized by the Biostatistics Core Facility. *Performs basic data management and assists in preparing summary reports using visual analysis. *Provides general administrative support including purchasing documentation, calendar coordination, and meeting preparation. *Serves as a point of contact to all research and administrative units of JABSOM departments, University of Hawaii (UH) programs, and community medical centers and institutes to ensure coordination and integration of BCF activities and services. *Inputs, reviews, and approves BCF HR transactions on behalf of or in the absence of the BCF Director. Supports data entry, data base maintenance (e.g.,REDCap, SQL server),and quality control of datasets. Assists in preparing grant proposal materials and scientific manuscript sections under supervision. Assigns task to BCF staff, monitors, documents, and evaluates the products and other service deliverables. Other Duties as Assigned. (* Denotes Essential Functions)

Minimum Qualifications

Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Public Health, or related field and 0 years of progressively responsible professional experience with responsibilities for program administrative support; or any equivalent combination of education and/or professional work experience which provides the required education, knowledge, skills and abilities as indicated. Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of accounting, business administration, or project management demonstrated by knowledge, understanding and ability to apply concepts, terminology. Functional knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, federal and state laws, rules, regulations and systems associated with project management. Demonstrated ability to recognize problems, identify possible causes and resolve the full range problems that may commonly occur in the area of administrative and project management and coordination. Demonstrated ability to understand oral and written documentation, write reports and procedures, and communicate effectively in a variety of situations. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external organizations, groups, team members and individuals. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer, apply word processing software, and electronic spreadsheet software. Desirable Qualifications

Functional knowledge of principles, practices and techniques in the area of fiscal and personnel administration, grant and contract management and procurement. UH experience in supporting or administering grants or contracts and handling fiscal processes, including travel, payments, and reimbursements. Knowledge of or experience working with RCUH policies and procedures. Knowledge of or experience working with UH Foundation policies and procedures.
