Overview

Responsible for receiving of all medical supplies for hospital.

Responsibilities

Receiveandunpack materials and supplies against purchase orders (PO's) for delivery

Prepareordersfor return-to-vendor shipment

Recordshipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability

Reportdamagesanddiscrepanciestorequest reimbursement or re-shipment

Maintainlogsofallshipments outgoing and incoming

Preparedaily production and volume reports in order to measure productivity and prepare billing charges

Qualifications

HighschoolDiploma or equivalent

0-1yearexperience working in a shipping/receiving or professional office environment

Some knowledge of the job

Moderateunderstandingofgeneraljob aspects and some understanding of the detailed aspects of the job

Knowledge& application of domestic and international shipping carriers, customs, duties and shipping regulations as well as internal tools used (e.g., scanning equipment, hot- synching of scanners, internal database tracking system, dollies and carts)

Excellentcustomer service, professional attitude and appearance are a must

Ability to work overtime & meet deadlines

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to lift 40 lbs

Repetitive motion

Reaching,pushing, pulling carts weighing up to 250lbs

Walking, standing for extended periods of time
