Job Description
A leading equipment rental company is seeking a dependable and efficient Data Center Technician to support its newly established data center in Mesa, Arizona. This individual will be solely responsible for maintaining the physical infrastructure, including installing and replacing cabling, organizing and cleaning the data center, and managing server hardware—adding new systems and decommissioning old ones. The role also includes providing technical troubleshooting across network, server, and storage equipment, executing system-level commands, documenting infrastructure projects, and coordinating with external vendors for installations and maintenance. The technician will report to the broader infrastructure team and participate in meetings and project discussions. With 75% of the daily responsibilities focused on hands-on equipment management and 25% on systems operations and communication, this position is vital to the operational health and growth of the new data center.

Skills and Requirements
• 2-3 years of experience working in a data center, must have hands on experience installing/replacing cabling (CAT 5, CAT6, Ethernet fiber cabling, RG 45, )
• Experience working with DELL server hardware, running VMWare, EMC, Cisco
• Ability to work independently, coordinate with vendors that are coming into the data center
Experience maintaining reports and data center operations • Certifications with Microsoft or Networking Certifications
• Experience writing scripts
