Position Summary

The Patient Care Technician Instructor is responsible for providing students with patient care instruction and training at the Career Technical Training Center, leading to full-time jobs, higher education, or advanced training. This role ensures strict confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data while meeting or exceeding performance goals. The instructor provides comprehensive case management to ensure student progress and achievement in the Job Corps program, as well as quality career technical training that leads to student placement.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care instruction and training to students

Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information and integrity of student data

Meet or exceed Department of Labor and company performance goals

Provide individualized case management to ensure student progress and completion

Monitor student placement and provide job leads to graduates

Organize and maintain a conducive classroom environment for learning

Hold students accountable for dress code and behavioral standards

Produce quality work and assignments in a timely and accurate manner

Plan and prioritize assignments to meet established goals and deadlines

Mentor and model Career Success Standards for students

About Brunswick Job Corps Center The Brunswick Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology. Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE A minimum of one-year experience in teaching or related field required. Certified, licensed, or accredited in the state in which the center is located, or is accredited by a professional trade organization. For NTC, instructor must be certified by union or trade organization, or by a national trade certifying organization. Previous Job Corps experience preferred. Must possess a valid driver’s license and meet company insurability requirements. Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or theability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance. (Depending upon trade)
