With a quickly growing team and operations that include manufacturing, retail locations, and wholesale distribution, Gold Spectrum CBD is looking for a driven and experienced Controller to manage financial operations and support strategic growth.

Position Summary: The Controller will be a key leader in the accounting and finance functions of Gold Spectrum CBD. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role involves a blend of operational and strategic responsibilities, including managing the month-end close process, developing financial forecasts and budgets, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with all financial and regulatory standards within the rapidly evolving CBD/hemp industry. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-oriented professional with exceptional accounting and finance skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage all financial and accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger operations.

Oversee and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Develop, implement, and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate risk and ensure compliance with GAAP.

Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow modeling processes to support strategic decision-making and ensure financial health.

Oversee and analyze cost accounting and inventory management within the manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate product costing and inventory valuation.

Collaborate closely with operations, production, and retail teams to provide financial insights and support operational efficiency and cost control initiatives.

Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to financial reporting, tax laws, and the unique requirements of the hemp/CBD industry.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, system enhancements, and automation within the finance department.

Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's preferred).

CPA license is preferred but not required

7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within a manufacturing or highly regulated environment.

Demonstrated experience managing audits, developing internal controls, and preparing consolidated financial statements.

Strong understanding of GAAP and experience with accounting systems like QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAGE, or SAP.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with ERP systems.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build consensus and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Experience in the cannabis or hemp industry is a plus, but not required.

High level of integrity, personal motivation, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work in-office 100% of the time.

Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check, credit check and meet any other regulatory requirements.
