Position Summary
As a
Marketing Assistant , you will be responsible for executing event day marketing plans, including operating marketing tables, providing high quality customer service for VIP experiences, executing grassroots promotions, and creating social media content. You will design, print, and hang flyers around the venue, engage with patrons about upcoming events, support Peake Experience clients, assist with back-of-house setup, and contribute to marketing initiatives as needed. This role offers an hourly rate of $15.00. Benefits for Part-Time roles:

Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena , located on the University of Maryland, Baltimore County campus, is a 5,000-seat venue hosting basketball, volleyball, concerts, commencements, and community events. Managed by OVG, it hosts a variety of events including concerts, commencements, family shows, and banquets. Responsibilities
Coordinate with team members, participants, and staff to execute marketing plans effectively. Engage students and audiences to build anticipation for upcoming events. Provide high-quality customer service during VIP experiences, including ticketing and coat check. Set up and execute back-of-house and front-of-house marketing efforts. Plan, schedule, and publish social media content. Create graphics for display during events. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred. Proficiency in English, both oral and written. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Problem-solving skills and quick thinking. Attention to detail, organization, and productivity. Flexible schedule to attend events at Chesapeake Arena and UMBC. Experience with social media platforms preferred. Interest or experience in graphic design preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and move around the venue. Courteous and polite demeanor. Knowledge of ongoing events and games. Willingness to work evenings, nights, and weekends.
