Job Description

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicines Patient Engagement and Customer Solutions (PECS) team is recruiting for a Field Reimbursement Manager. This field-based role will cover the Carrollton, TX; Denton, TX; Irving, TX; Keller, TX; and Lewisville, TX territories. The FRM serves as the primary field-based lead for education, assistance, and issue resolution with healthcare providers (HCPs) and their staff regarding patient access to J&J Immunology therapies. The role involves on-site time with HCPs (up to 50%), assessing education needs and coordinating with various stakeholders.

A Day in the Life: The patient healthcare experience varies and may be influenced by education, support networks, payer dynamics, and socioeconomic factors. The FRM helps ensure access to therapy and supports patients through onboarding and adherence.

Primary responsibilities include education and assistance on reimbursement processes, collaborating with field support teams, addressing access issues, and ensuring compliant and ethical engagement with customers.

Market Access Expertise: Knowledge of medication access channels, staying current on coverage and policy changes, and adapting messaging to the changing healthcare ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Educate HCPs on product coverage, prior authorizations and appeals, reimbursement processes, claims submissions, procedures, and coding requirements of payer organizations.
  • Collaborate with field support teams and serve as reimbursement expert for the local team.
  • Address critical access and affordability issues for patients with urgency and accuracy.
  • Partner with managed care colleagues to understand current policies and future changes.
  • Conduct field-based reimbursement and access support, education and problem-solving aligned to FRM Rules of Engagement.
  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with customers in assigned Immunology accounts.
  • Manage territory logistics, routing, and account business planning.
  • Maintain knowledge of market dynamics including coverage and coding requirements.
  • Grow knowledge of hub and specialty distribution channels to support practices and patients.
  • Collaborate with internal J&J departments and serve as subject matter expert on education and insights for access and affordability across payer types (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial).
  • Execute business with high ethical, legal, and compliance standards and complete required training.

Market Access Expertise

  • Extensive knowledge of medication access channels (pharmacy and medical benefits, including buy & bill and/or AOB across sites of care).
  • Stay current on product coverage, access knowledge, and marketplace conditions to deliver effective materials.
  • Adapt to changing healthcare environment to optimize resourcing and messaging to HCPs.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Bachelors degree (healthcare or business/public administration). MBA or MPH preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Account Management and/or Reimbursement experience in hospital and/or provider office settings.
  • Expertise with pharmacy and medical/buy & bill benefits, coding, and billing.
  • Reimbursement or managed care experience (revenue cycle, buy-and-bill, prior authorization, coding, and appeals).
  • Ability to collaborate across a matrix organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills for access scenarios.
  • Experience with patient support HUB services.
  • Valid US drivers license and driving record compliant with company standards.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
  • Permanent residence in the listed territory.

PREFERRED

  • Immunology disease state experience.
  • Advanced degree or certifications in prior authorization, billing, and coding.
  • Strong market access acumen related to payer approval processes.
  • Understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer initiatives affecting reimbursement.
  • Knowledge of payer policy, including coverage and payment elements.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Microsoft Word, and Excel.
