Overview
As an Associate Director, Social Strategy, you will play a key leadership role on our team, guiding the development and execution of breakthrough social strategies and team structures across a new, high-profile client in the CPG space. You will support the team through transition, planning, and operating the day-to-day once the team has been fully onboarded. This is a rare opportunity for a true T-shaped strategistsomeone who combines deep expertise in social media with broad fluency in creative ideation, client management, and culture-shaping campaigns.
Pay information
Base pay range: $105,165.00/yr - $165,485.00/yr. Compensation range may be modified at any time; actual pay will be determined based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Diving deep into social listening insights to unlock opportunity audiences and social communities for our brand.
- Collaborating with social and influencer leads to design the social and influencer practice, contributing to team structure development and ways of working.
- Agile execution, collaboration with IAT to deliver social insights and impactful, quick-turn, in-market activations that drive impact.
- Leading the creation of robust, actionable social playbooks and frameworks to set client teams up for success in always-on and campaign environments.
- Translating social and cultural insights into compelling creative briefs and big ideas that push brands into cultural relevance.
- Developing and executing integrated social and content strategies that drive engagement, brand love, and measurable results.
- Partnering closely with creative, influencer, and analytics teams to deliver cohesive programs and breakthrough work.
- Serving as a trusted advisor to clients, deftly managing relationships and confidently navigating high-visibility projects.
- Keeping a firm pulse on pop culture, emerging platforms, and digital trendsidentifying new opportunities for brands to lead, not follow.
- Providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members, helping to elevate the teams overall strategic output.
Qualifications
- 6-8 years of digital and social experienceagency, brand, or publisher-sideideally with a mix of content, creative, and campaign leadership.
- Experience in the early onboarding and build phases of standing up a social and influencer practice.
- Driving strong relationships and collaboration across an IAT.
- Experience understanding how to navigate the nuances of a portfolio of brands and portfolio social strategy.
- Demonstrated ability to build and implement social playbooks, frameworks, or best practices for large brands.
- A strong track record for driving creative campaigns from insight to execution, especially those rooted in cultural or social trends.
- Deep understanding of the social media landscape across legacy and emerging platforms, with a passion for staying ahead of whats next.
- Experience crafting creative briefs, collaborating with creative teams, and inspiring breakthrough ideation.
- Expert level ability leveraging social listening and insight tools to unlock a social community (Quid/Brand Watch, platform-specific insights tools, etc.).
- Expertise in organic social, with high familiarity and sophistication in paid amplification, including influencer strategy and measurement.
- Exceptional client management skillsadept at navigating complex organizations and building trust.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a knack for storytelling and persuasive presentations.
- A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and a passion for mentoring others.
