Manpower is proud to partner with a premier manufacturer located in Norwell, MA in their search for an experienced Plant Manager. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a generous starting salary, 10% bonus eligibility, and a comprehensive benefits package.
We’re looking for a seasoned and versatile operations leader with at least 10 years of industrial manufacturing experience, a strong background in lean manufacturing, team development, and a proven ability to execute strategies that drive operational success.
? Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee all daily plant operations to ensure targets for safety, quality, cost, and production are consistently met.
- Team Development: Lead, mentor, and coach Supervisors and Team Leads to build and sustain high-performing teams.
- Quality Partnership: Work closely with the Quality team to drive product consistency, reduce defects, and improve overall quality through robust systems and standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Champion lean manufacturing and problem-solving methodologies to reduce process variation and non-conformance costs.
- Process Efficiency: Drive efficiency and reduce waste through implementation of Lean and other process improvement initiatives.
- Technology Leadership: Lead the 3-year Site Technology Improvement Plan to implement advanced technologies and methodologies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Scheduling, Supply Chain, and R&D teams to optimize production flow and meet demand.
- Engineering & Maintenance Oversight: Direct the Maintenance and Process Engineering teams to enhance equipment performance and overall plant reliability.
- Financial Stewardship: Manage the plant budget, monitor KPIs, and implement cost control strategies.
- Reporting & Strategy: Communicate performance, challenges, and strategic plans to senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Product Launch Support : Collaborate with Product Marketing, Engineering, Production, and Purchasing to ensure smooth and compliant product launches.

- Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
- Strong foundation in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Demonstrated success in team development, coaching, and cross-functional leadership.
- Experience managing plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, and engineering.
- Proven ability to lead technology upgrades and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
