Junior Assistant Project Manager Construction Interiors

Position Summary:

We are seeking a motivated Junior Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support interior construction and renovation projects. The ideal candidate will assist in managing daily project activities, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that schedules, budgets, and quality standards are met.

This role is well-suited for someone early in their construction management career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing interior construction projects.
• Assist in preparing project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
• Review drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Track project progress, identify potential issues, and escalate to the Project Manager as needed.
• Assist with RFIs, meeting minutes, and project documentation.
• Monitor site activities to ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Provide administrative and field support to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 13 years of experience in construction, preferably with interiors, fit-outs, or renovations.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, or similar construction software is an asset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and take on increasing responsibility.
