About the Role:

As a Project Manager who's main focus is Architectural, you will be integral in design review for facility projects at Raleigh-Durham International Airport (RDU) and assist senior staff with asset management including identifying renewal and replacement projects and design standards development. About The Ideal Candidate:
- Experienced – You have five (5) years of experience in project management including design document reviews, cost estimating, specification reviews and construction administration, or 10 years of field experience specific to the architectural discipline.
- Collaborative – You can work collaboratively and effectively with diverse groups and individuals internally and externally. You can convey complex and technical details to individuals with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
- Adaptable – You can manage multiple moderately-complex projects simultaneously and prioritize work between multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Innovative – You can conduct research in emerging technologies, products, trends, and standards to make recommendations for improvements for alternative materials, equipment, or methods/processes. - Knowledgeable – You can develop system models for calculation and analysis or total cost of ownership comparison of options. You can develop original concepts for internal design projects, considering compliance with standards, regulations, and alignment with discipline-specific vision.
Compensation:
Maximum – Based on experience
Minimum - $82,662.23
What You’ll Do:
- You will coordinate, plan, and implement facility wide systems at the infrastructure level and support development of information through research and collecting data.
- You will conduct asset management functions such as inventory, condition assessment, and capacity for discipline specific assets, and develop renewal and replacement projects for discipline specific systems.
- You will implement aviation infrastructure/facility system plan and long-term vision at small to medium project levels to meet aviation growth, institutional initiatives, and regulatory requirements.
- You will perform appropriate risk analysis and develop contingency plans for unexpected problems that can have a significant impact on assigned projects.
- You will prepare presentations and memos for leadership to explain architectural planning initiatives.
- You will lead development of preventative maintenance programs for operations and maintenance of discipline specific infrastructure and small to medium systems to maintain aviation operations and maximize life cycle of systems.
- You will develop, maintain, and govern discipline-specific aviation design guidelines and standards for facility and infrastructure.
- You will conduct integration of new methods, systems, technologies, materials, programs or processes including research of discipline-specific innovative or specialized solutions.
- You will coordinate with planning and capital development departments to ensure program schedule aligns with available life cycle expectancy of systems, century agenda and sustainability goals, regulatory and aviation growth requirements.
- You will evaluate project design drawings for moderate-sized capital and expense projects for conformance to standards and specifications and coordination with other capital projects and expansion of existing infrastructure.
- You will conduct construction administration for moderate-sized capital projects including submittals, Request for Information (RFI), site observation, construction meetings, and punch walks.

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or closely related field OR equivalent related work experience
Experience:
Required:
• 5 years of project management experience including design document reviews, cost estimating, specification reviews and construction administration, or 10 years of field experience specific to the architectural discipline.
Preferred:
• 10 or more years of experience in project management.
• 5 years of building technical experience
• Facilities related project management including experience with building systems (MEP, Low voltage electrical, construction and building trades general knowledge)
• Experience in all aspects of design and construction, renovation, and repairs to mid-sized commercial construction projects, preferably at airports or intermodal transportation hubs.
• Experience in working with multi-building institutions or campus environments.

• NC-licensed Professional Architect (AIA)
