A day in the life:
- Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and improving mechanical equipment and components.
- Maintaining and improving hydraulic pumps, centrifugal pumps, gear pumps, pneumatic diaphragm pumps.
- Performing preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance.
- Following the maintenance work management process, which includes utilizing the maintenance management software to identify equipment problems, obtain parts, document findings, track labor hours and material on jobs, capture repair history, etc.
- Contributing to Manufacturing Conscious Engineering by participating in the development and coordination of engineering projects, including design, procurement, and installation of new equipment and modification of existing.
- Performing visual inspections, dimensional measurements, and testing of incoming materials based on inspection plans, workmanship standards, technical drawings, and test methods.
- Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts.
Keys to success:
- Education: Associate degree AND one (1) year of Maintenance Mechanic experience OR High School Diploma/GED AND five (5) years of Maintenance Mechanic experience.
- Experience: One (1) year of Maintenance experience in an Industrial/manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Ability to work 1st and 3rd shift
- Ability to work rotating weekends, overtime, or holidays as needed
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings
- Experience with reliability analysis, predictive (PdM), and preventative maintenance (PM)
