Maintenance Mechanic

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing various industrial equipment including hydraulic systems, gearboxes, conveyor equipment, vibrating feeders, hammer mills, cranes, and mechanical drives. You will utilize hand tools, measuring devices, and power tools such as drill presses, saws, grinders, and pipe cutting equipment. Your responsibilities will also involve welding, burning, and metal joining tasks, alongside operating cranes and mobile equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair hydraulic systems, gearboxes, conveyor equipment, and other industrial machinery.
• Utilize tools and equipment including hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, charts, manuals, and instructions.
• Troubleshoot, dismantle, repair, assemble, inspect, and test industrial equipment.
• Install, inspect, maintain, and repair piping systems and associated fixtures.
• Perform cutting, welding, brazing, and soldering work with metal sheet and plate.
• Operate cranes, mobile equipment, and erect and disassemble scaffolding as needed.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in hydraulics, gearboxes, and conveyor systems.
• Experience in heavy industrial environments such as steel, aluminum, or nuclear facilities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work with cranes and pneumatic systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with bucket elevators and screw jacks.
• 3-5+ years of experience in heavy industrial settings.
• Previous experience in Navy nuclear operations, foundry, paper mill, or aluminum industries.
• Welding and fabrication skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $81494.00/yr.

- 9.58% shift differential once they move onto swing shift (Approximately an extra 3/hr)

- They can test every 6 months to test into higher tech level and get pay increase

- Only non-union smelter facility in the U.S

- 401K matches 6%. Benefits start on Day 1 (Full medical, dental and vision coverage very competitive benefits and multiple options. You can get full copy during interview)

- $300 tool stipend each year

- All uniforms and PPE are provided by company, including prescription safety glasses

- Free clinic onsite for check ups or any issues that happen during the day

- Quarterly bonus up to 10% of what they have made in total that quarter. This is based on company profitability. They currently are averaging 4-6% per quarter

- Quarter bonus is tied to attendance

- If you work 6 days in a row, on your 6th day you are paid x1.75. If you work 7 days in a row, your 7th day is double pay
