Job Overview The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist supports the business by providing effective recruitment, building a candidate pipeline, and providing strategic guidance to business partners and hiring managers. The role should be passionate about securing the right talent, providing a positive candidate experience, and building a long-term candidate pipeline for our business. This role is ultimately accountable for business results related to talent acquisition. A successful Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist works with peers and hiring managers to execute best-in-class talent acquisition to ultimately impact business goals of profitability, revenue generation, and a positive company culture. Responsibilities and Duties Full-Cycle Recruitment Guide hiring managers through job requisition process and provide coaching as needed to ensure success. Ensure candidates have a positive first impression of our company through our hiring process. Perform applicant screening and participate in interviews as requested. Identify, develop, and leverage appropriate sourcing tools such as the employee referral program. Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relevant to recruitment and hiring practices (e.g., EEOC, ADA, etc.) and act as a subject matter for the department staff and hiring managers. Provide standard screening, interview, and evaluation tools to hiring managers. Enforce standard process to ensure effective new hire selection and equal hiring practices across the business and ensure a seamless hand-off of candidates to the Service Center. Partner with department colleagues to ensure compensation is competitive for individual roles and provide consulting on overall compensation strategy. Sourcing and Candidate Pipeline Development Develop and maintain a recruitment channel strategy and candidate pipeline to ensure the company is recruiting top talent for current and future requisitions. Provide Business Partners and hiring managers data on recruitment metrics, talent marketplace, and talent pipeline, etc. for workforce planning purposes. Regularly review the company's applicant pool and identify candidates for future requisitions. Support an employer branding strategy to attract top candidates. Identify, engage with, and attend job fairs and recruitment events as needed and required. Operational Excellence Proactively contribute to the talent acquisition strategy through daily work and providing recommendations on improving strategy impact. Continuously seek, recommend, and execute process improvement and change management efforts across Talent Acquisition responsibilities to reduce resource use and improve outcomes. Work with Org Development and Business Partners to maintain the company's job description library. Ensuring corporate consistency and partner with other disciplines to rollout changes and/or improvements to impacted stakeholders. Measure, utilize, and report on standard talent acquisition metrics to measure success of efforts. Provide project support to People Operations efforts as requested which includes serving as a project team member and/or providing input to a project led by another department specialty. Serve as an expert of our applicant tracking system (ATS), job boards, and social media to support the talent acquisition strategy and individual recruiting efforts. Skills and Qualifications A bachelor's degree in human resources, management, business, or related field. 5-7 years of experience in talent acquisition, workforce planning, recruiting, and/or human resources. Experience in a transportation and/or distribution business is a plus. Ability to understand and document needs of stakeholders in an unbiased and accurate way. Proficiency with all Microsoft Office software, both desktop and online versions, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, etc. Demonstrated ability to improve outcomes in talent acquisition or related human resources functions. Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills while responding to multiple requests at one time. Knowledge of talent acquisition practices and strategies, strong research ability, and experience applying the same to meet specific business talent needs. Demonstrated ability to manage time, stay detail-oriented, organize then communicate concepts and information to create clarity and alignment while adapting communication style to diverse audiences. Demonstrated ability to stay detail-oriented in repetitive activities and maintain consistent practices and processes in high-volume hiring scenarios. Demonstrated ability to consistently, effectively apply logical and critical thinking for effective decision-making. Ability to communicate with peers, management, and candidates in a way that is clear, concise, and meaningful. Demonstrated commitment to service excellence and ability to offer responsive and solution-oriented assistance.
