About this role:

The Facilities Support Technician is a hybrid role responsible for both custodial and general maintenance duties across KDC properties in New Bedford. This position ensures that both interior and exterior environments are clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will provide both routine cleaning and maintenance services while also responding to emergency repair requests, performing minor facility upgrades, and collaborating with contractors when necessary.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm

Sign On Bonus: $500!

We are looking for a Facilities Support Technician who has:

High School Diploma or GED, required

2–5 years of cleaning or maintenance experience, required

Driver’s license and reliable transportation, required

Comfortable using smartphones/tablets for work orders, required

Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor settings, required

Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC, preferred

The physical requirements for this role are:

Lift, push, pull up to 50 lbs.

Able to bend, stoop, climb, walk, and stand for extended periods.

Manual dexterity to handle tools and cleaning equipment.

Visual acuity to perform detailed repairs and safety checks.

At KDC, you'll get to:

Clean office and apartment buildings' common areas weekly - there are a total of 5 properties in New Bedford

Including handling trash, floors, restrooms, and shared spaces

Do basic repairs: painting, light carpentry, minor electrical/plumbing, etc.

Respond promptly to emergency repair requests during and outside normal business hours as requested

Relocate furniture, assist with room setups, and support special facilities projects

Keep properties free of debris and safety hazards

Respond to requests from other KDC locations as needed
