Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Senior Engineering Designer
to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10–15 years of experience in engineering design and a strong command of AutoCAD (2D and 3D). This role involves developing detailed design drawings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting project execution from concept to construction. As a Senior Engineering Designer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of engineering designs and contribute to the success of projects across various industries. Key Responsibilities: Design Drawings: Produce high-quality 2D and 3D design drawings using AutoCAD for engineering projects, ensuring all designs meet the required standards and specifications. Interpretation of Data: Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and technical data to create accurate and reliable designs that align with project requirements. Collaboration: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop and optimize design solutions, ensuring that all project needs are met effectively. Drawing Review and Compliance: Review and check drawings for compliance with project standards, design specifications, and regulatory requirements to ensure quality and accuracy. Documentation Management: Maintain and manage drawing records, revisions, and documentation control, ensuring that all updates are properly tracked and documented. Technical Support: Provide technical support during design reviews, construction, and fabrication phases, offering expertise to resolve design-related issues and challenges. Mentorship: Mentor junior designers and provide guidance to ensure they meet design standards. Support the development and implementation of design standards and best practices within the team. Required Qualifications: 10–15 years of experience in engineering design, preferably in industrial, infrastructure, or energy sectors. Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and 3D, with a strong understanding of design principles. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, codes, and construction practices. Experience with other design software (e.g., Navisworks, MicroStation, Recap) is a plus. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to meet project goals. Preferred Qualifications: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field. Field experience or familiarity with construction environments is highly desirable. Work Environment: This is an office-based position located in
Paramount, CA , where the Senior Engineering Designer will primarily work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The role may also require occasional site visits depending on project needs. Reporting Structure: The Senior Engineering Designer will report to the Engineering Manager or Project Manager and will work closely with the design and engineering teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects. Compensation & Benefits: Salary range for this position is
$110,000 - $140,000
annually, depending on experience.
