Job Summary: Responsibilities include giving proper recognition to Foundation Room Members, Live Nation Corporate Executives, and VIPs to instill appreciation for their membership and patronage. Other duties involve impeccable knowledge of upscale dining service steps, expert bottle and wine service skills, and the ability to up-sell and offer food and beverage suggestions to guests. Extensive aptitude in culinary terms, methods, and upscale cuisine is required, along with the capacity to guide and direct guests through their dining experience. The role demands an understanding of and ability to execute Bottle Service standards flawlessly, articulate vocabulary, and professional grooming standards. Cash handling and Point of Sales System experience are necessary, along with a strong working knowledge of all beverages. The ability to deal with intoxicated guests in a positive and safety-minded manner, anticipate and respond to guest needs, suggestively sell beverages and menu items, and communicate drink orders through the Point of Sales system is essential. Additionally, the role requires maintaining line of sight/atmosphere control, cleaning tables, removing dirty glasses and dishes, and adhering to House of Blues safety and sanitation standards. Housekeeping standards per HOB policy, current knowledge on all standard operating procedures, and responsible alcohol service per local ordinance and HOB alcohol policies are also required. The position involves recognizing when guests are becoming too intoxicated and refusing further service in a courteous and safety-minded manner, processing payments, and assisting other servers and staff as needed. Qualifications include TABC Responsible Alcohol Awareness Training Certification or Equivalent, a minimum of 2 years experience serving in an upscale dining and nightlife venue, working knowledge of high-end restaurant operations and safe, responsible alcohol service, ability to handle multiple tables efficiently, a high school diploma or equivalent, flexible schedule, adherence to dress and appearance guidelines, working knowledge of cocktail tray service, basic food service, responsible alcohol service, drink recipes and garnishes, and point of sales systems. Preferred qualifications include Point of Sales knowledge, interest in wines, spirits, and mixology, interest in nightlife, cash handling experience, experience recognizing valid IDs, and experience in a live music environment. Physical demands include working in a fast-paced, often loud and stressful environment, extended periods of standing, and lifting or moving up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
