Job Summary
This position entails the oversight of staff members in the office clinic, Rhythm Management Clinic, the RNs rounding with physicians in the hospital, and in the Cardiac Care Department. This will also include co-direction of the RNs in the Cardiac Nuclear and Echo Departments at LCG. The position works closely with the physicians of the practice to oversee operations connected with these areas and manages resources and issues accordingly. The position plans and implements various large clinical projects as needed. This position also works closely with other departments to provide for the seamless care of the patient and general operational needs of Baptist Health. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Directs and supervises all aspects of patient care in the clinic, in the Rhythm Management Clinic, for the RNs performing hospital rounding, and in the Cardiac Care Department. Works with the Managers in the Cardiac Nuclear and Echo Departments to co-direct RNs working in those areas. Evaluates, manages, and implements processes that maintain or improve the quality of patient care. Serves as a liaison to other departments in regards to interdepartmental issues. Recruits, retains, and develops staff. Oversees the discipline, training, and competency evaluation process associated with those employees. Works with the Administrator, Physicians, and Staff in planning and developing equipment and FTE budgets. Procures needed equipment and provides oversight in maintaining appropriate supply inventory. Works with Physicians, Administrator, and others in planning and implementing large projects as they arise from time to time. Supports and enforces pertinent regulations, accrediting body standards, and policies to plan for the provision of care. Collaborates with members of the healthcare team to provide a safe environment of care. Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: Minimum of five years' experience in a cardiology office preferred. Minimum of three years of prior leadership role preferred. Must have current valid KY RN license. Must have BSN and Master's Degree in Healthcare field or in Management. BLS required. Working knowledge of E.H.R. systems preferred.
