The Information Security Officer (ISO) will be responsible for overseeing the Banks information security governance, and risk management efforts. This role is integral to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Banks critical data and systems, while proactively addressing evolving cyber threats and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ISO will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with business objectives, manage cyber risk, and lead the Banks overall security posture to mitigate potential threats in the ever-changing digital landscape. The Information Security Officer (ISO) will be responsible for overseeing the Banks information security governance, and risk management efforts. This role is integral to ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the Banks critical data and systems, while proactively addressing evolving cyber threats and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ISO will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align security initiatives with business objectives, manage cyber risk, and lead the Banks overall security posture to mitigate potential threats in the ever-changing digital landscape.
Principle Duties And Responsibilities
Implements and manages the Banks information security strategy to align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Advises the executive team on the impact of cybersecurity risks and opportunities. Leads the identification, assessment, and mitigation of information security risks across all areas of the organization. Establishes a framework for risk management and ensures ongoing risk assessment processes are in place. Oversees the development, implementation, and enforcement of the Banks information security policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard sensitive data, financial systems, and customer information. Leads the Banks incident response efforts, ensuring prompt and efficient handling of security breaches, data incidents, and other cyber threats. Develops and maintains the organizations incident response and disaster recovery plans. Ensures compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, including financial industry regulations such as GLBA, PCI-DSS, and others. Oversees audits and ensures adherence to both internal and external compliance standards. Oversees the security of third-party relationships, ensuring proper due diligence, risk assessments, and security controls are in place for all external vendors and partners. Drives a culture of security awareness throughout the organization by conducting regular training programs and awareness campaigns to educate employees about best practices and emerging threats. Monitors the evolving threat landscape and industry trends, and adjust the banks security posture accordingly. Leads the evaluation and adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance security. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, required. Masters degree or professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA), preferred. 10+ years experience in information security, 5+ years in a leadership role, required. Prior experience in banking or financial services industry, preferred. In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, risk management principles, and best practices. Familiarity with relevant security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, etc.).
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and respond to evolving threats and incidents swiftly. Experience in financial services or banking cybersecurity regulations. Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex information to stakeholders. Diligent, responsible, smart and able to clearly communicate. Ability to explore creating efficiencies through technology. Seniority level
