As the AVP, Insurance Data Platform Lead at Everest Insurance, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how commercial insurance leverages analytics. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and love collaborating across teams to deliver impactful solutions, this is your opportunity to lead from the front.In this role, you'll work closely with Underwriting Operations and business leaders to build and integrate data platforms that power smarter decisions. From backend systems like the Data Warehouse and WINS to modern cloud-first architecture, you'll be central to Everest's data transformation journey.Key Responsibilities:Partner with internal teams to understand strategic analytics and BI needsLead technology initiatives that deliver actionable, data-driven capabilities aligned with business goalsDevelop and execute data and analytics strategies and roadmaps for rapid delivery and scalabilityDefine and implement modern cloud-based data architecture, tooling, and governanceEnable intuitive self-service access to secure, high-quality data across the enterpriseSupport rapid ingestion of new data and deployment of advanced analytic modelsPromote engineering practices that encourage reuse, automation, and inner sourcing in a cloud-first DevOps environmentChampion data transformation and cloud adoption with a focus on security, governance, and data integrityManage cross-team delivery to ensure high-quality outcomes within scope, time, and budgetQualifications:A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field15+ years of experience, including 8+ in the insurance industryDeep expertise in Azure cloud platform and data engineeringProficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and DatabricksFamiliarity with Microsoft Fabric and streaming frameworks like Apache KafkaExperience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or QlikStrong understanding of data warehousing, modeling, and structured/unstructured dataHands-on experience with DevOps in Azure and high-volume data processingAn agile mindset with excellent problem-solving and communication skillsThe ability to manage multiple projects and build strong cross-functional relationshipsExperience building .NET services in AKS environmentsThe base salary range for this position is $173,000 - $237,500 annually. The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, experience, qualifications and work location.
