The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supporting, sustaining, and improving Manufacturing and Quality Operations for Consumables and Instruments produced at the San Jose Site, including the Imaging, Plate Readers and Flipr Penta platforms. The position is also responsible for managing Product Transfer activities during New Product Introduction (NPI) and providing Technical Leadership for Process Changes that drive Quality and Process Improvements, Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE), and Design Changes that require cross-functional resource involvement. Additional tasks requested by management and hands on involvement as required. This position reports to the Sr. Production and Engineering Manager and is part of the Operations team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Recruit, hire, supervise, and evaluate the Manufacturing Engineer team Function as the voice of Operations in New Product Introduction projects Own Internal and External Quality improvement and reporting The essential requirements of the job include: B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related degree A minimum of 5 years' experience performing bioanalytical instrumentation and consumables manufacturing as well as manufacturing transfer and new product introduction (NPI) in a Manufacturing Product Engineering role. Five years of experience performing Lean Manufacturing Methods & Tools; process efficiency & yield improvements. Five years of experience performing Product & Supplier Quality improvements. Five years of experience with mechanical modeling with SolidWorks Software. Physical/Environment Requirements: Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 25lb, any other physical requirements It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: Performing Six Sigma Improvement Methodologies & Design for Six Sigma Tools. The annual salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 USD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
