About the RoleThe Production Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing detailed, executable production schedules for commercial fitness equipment manufacturing at Precor. This role aligns customer demand, labor, materials, and equipment capacity to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency. The position reports to the Operations Manager and collaborates closely with Supply Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams.ResponsibilitiesProduction Scheduling & Coordination Translate demand and supply plans into weekly, detailed production schedules based on input from the Supply Planning Manager. Align production orders with forecasts, inventory targets, and resource availability. Coordinate production flow within and across manufacturing departments to meet delivery commitments. Capacity & Labor Planning Analyze production specifications, plant capacity, and workforce availability to determine resource and sequencing requirements. Partner with process departments to build and maintain Capacity and Utilization charts for proactive planning. Schedule Execution Monitor schedule adherence in collaboration with line supervisors and leads. Expedite operations that delay schedules; adjust plans to meet changing conditions including material shortages, equipment downtime, or labor gaps. Raw Material & Supplier Readiness Work with Supplier Schedulers and Supply Planners to confirm availability of raw materials to support build plans. Escalate shortages early and conduct tactical reviews to ensure continuity of supply. Inventory & Replenishment Management Kanban & VMI Replenishment: Support the design, optimization, and maintenance of lean replenishment systems, including Kanban and VMI programs, in collaboration with Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Planning. Enforce min/max inventory thresholds and collaborate with planning to align system and physical inventory. Cross-Functional Communication Lead or participate in routine (monthly or more frequent) review meetings with Supply Planning, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to validate material readiness and resolve constraints. Communicate schedule changes and priorities across departments. Data Systems & Reporting Develop and maintain robust data collection systems to support visibility into production metrics and KPIs. Generate timely reports on production performance, including schedule attainment, order completion, and key metrics. Continuous Improvement Drive ongoing improvements in scheduling processes, planning tools, and team performance. Support lean manufacturing initiatives and digital workflow enhancements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in production planning and/or scheduling in a manufacturing environment. Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems preferred. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and resource planning. Ability to anticipate and resolve production-related issues proactively. Strong organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); SAP knowledge is a plus. Demonstrated "no excuses" mindset and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Preferred Qualifications SAP highly preferred BA degree in Business, Purchasing/Supply Chain, or related field preferred Pay Range: $85,000 to $100,000The pay range represents the low and high end of the anticipated pay range for this position based at our Woodinville, WA headquarters. The actual pay offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and if the location for the job changes.
