Vice President, Business Development About the Company Respected pharmaceutical company Industry Pharmaceuticals Type Privately Held About the Role The Company is in search of a Vice President of Business Development to spearhead its commercial strategy and lead a dynamic BD team. The successful candidate will be a strategic and visionary leader with a proven track record in the biotech or biopharma industry, particularly in the CDMO, CMO, and CRO sectors. Key responsibilities for this executive role include owning the development and execution of the company's commercial strategy, leading national sales efforts, and driving significant revenue growth. The VP will also be responsible for managing and expanding the BD team, setting KPIs, and ensuring a culture of accountability and excellence. Executive partnerships, market intelligence, client engagement, and brand presence are also critical aspects of the role. Applicants must have a minimum of 12 years of commercial experience in the biotech or biopharma industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a CDMO, CMO, or CRO. A deep network of biopharma decision-makers and a strong understanding of the drug development and manufacturing process are essential. The role requires an individual with executive presence, a strategic mindset, and high emotional intelligence. A Bachelor's degree in life sciences, chemistry, or business is required, with an advanced degree preferred. The VP will be expected to travel as needed, with 20-30% travel anticipated.
