We're looking for a skilled Cabling Technician who takes pride in their work, whether running CAT6 in a crawlspace or cleaning up a server room that looks like spaghetti night.What You'll Be Doing:Pulling, installing, and terminating low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, etc.) in commercial and residential environmentsInstalling racks, patch panels, network jacks, faceplates, and testing equipmentDiagnosing and resolving cabling issues or poor prior installationsReading blueprints and floor plans to design and execute clean, efficient cable routesCollaborating with team members, clients, contractors, and the occasional curious office catEnsuring all jobs are completed with safety, accuracy, and that chef's kiss finishWhat We're Looking For:1+ year of structured cabling or low-voltage installation experience (more = even better)Ability to terminate and test Cat5e/Cat6 cables (RJ45), and familiarity with tools like cable testers, punch-down tools, and fish tapesComfortable using ladders, lifts, and tools (and following OSHA safety practices)Must be able to lift 50 lbs, crawl, bend, climb, and sometimes work in less-than-glamorous spacesValid driver's license and clean driving record (you'll be driving the Nerd Van!)Professional appearance, solid communication, and a "get-it-done" attitudeNice-to-Haves (but not required):Experience with fiber optic installation or terminationFamiliarity with surveillance system cabling (CCTV, IP cameras)Basic networking knowledge or IT support backgroundWhat We Offer:Competitive pay based on experienceOpportunities for growth into full IT technician rolesA fun, no-BS culture that appreciates good work and good peopleNerd gear (yes, the shirts are as cool as they sound)Apply today and help us keep North Texas connected - one beautifully bundled cable at a timeIT SERVICE PROFESSIONALSNerdsToGo is dedicated to providing customers with fast, friendly, and knowledgeable Computer Service and Technology Solutions for a variety of devices.
