The Marketing & Outreach Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the Nevada Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (NTEDP) by leading content development, community engagement, and brand visibility efforts across digital and physical channels. This role independently manages outreach strategy, social media presence, and educational content production aimed at increasing awareness and access to telecommunications equipment and services for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or speech disabled. Description
The Marketing & Outreach Coordinator plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the Nevada Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program (NTEDP) by leading content development, community engagement, and brand visibility efforts across digital and physical channels. This role independently manages outreach strategy, social media presence, and educational content production aimed at increasing awareness and access to telecommunications equipment and services for individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or speech disabled.
This position is both strategic and hands-on, requiring strong communication skills, a commitment to accessibility, and the ability to manage content across platforms. The Marketing & Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the Product Marketing Manager, Equipment Distribution Program (EDP) leadership, and other internal stakeholders to ensure that all marketing efforts are impactful, on-brand, and inclusive.
Please note, candidates for this position must reside in the Las Vegas/Clark County area. Furthermore, CSD is unable to provide relocation assistance at this time.
Essential Functions
Outreach & Community Engagement
Independently lead outreach strategy and execution to promote NTEDP services, including attending events, scheduling presentations, and building local partnerships Build and maintain relationships with community-based organizations (CBOs), disability advocacy groups, service providers, and stakeholder networks Provide in-person, remote (videophone, messaging, text), and on-site consultations to individuals to assess needs and provide telecommunications education Deliver presentations and technical assistance regarding EDP equipment and services to service providers, consumers, and partners Educate communities about available telecommunications tools (e.g., amplified phones, CapTel, TTYs, signalers) and accessibility features Assist consumers in completing NTEDP eligibility applications and accessing services Maintain accurate records of outreach activity and consumer data
Content Development & Accessibility
Develop and execute a content strategy supporting NTEDP marketing and outreach efforts, with emphasis on accessibility and audience relevance Create and manage high-quality content for digital and print platforms, including websites, newsletters, brochures, reports, flyers, presentations, and social media Ensure all content complies with digital accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), including use of alt text, captions, and screen reader formatting Develop educational materials to inform the public about NTEDP eligibility, services, and equipment Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including technical and outreach teams, to maintain content accuracy and alignment with program goals Maintain a content calendar to coordinate the release of materials for events, campaigns, and strategic initiatives
Digital & Social Media Strategy
Manage NTEDPs presence across social media platforms, including planning, posting, and engaging with followers Create platform-specific content (e.g., reels, graphics, ASL-accessible videos, infographics) that reflects NTEDPs mission and values Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content using tools like Google Analytics and native platform insights Optimize content using SEO best practices to increase program visibility Ensure brand consistency across all platforms by following established tone, voice, and visual identity guidelines
Collaboration & Communication
Collaborate closely with the Product Marketing Manager to align campaign messaging, timing, and strategy Coordinate with outreach, customer service, technical, and leadership teams to integrate feedback and ensure unified messaging Respond to marketing requests from other departments and support the development of collateral and assets for cross-functional needs
Other Responsibilities
Stay up to date on disability-related language guidelines, emerging assistive technologies, and evolving accessibility standards Identify content or outreach gaps and proactively propose new initiatives Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong prioritization and time management Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience tailoring content for diverse audiences Knowledge of telecommunications access issues and resources for Deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, and disabled communities Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design principles Proficient in content management systems (e.g., WordPress), graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) Experience with social media management Experience using project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana) Strong copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills; familiarity with AP style preferred Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams Creative, resourceful, and strategic thinker with strong attention to detail
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, or related field preferred Minimum of one (1) year of experience in content creation, outreach, or digital marketing campaigns targeting disability communities Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Deaf, hard of hearing, deaf-blind, or disabled individuals in a marketing, communication, or outreach role Minimum of one (1) year in a customer service, sales, or public-facing role Experience working with community-based organizations to support accessibility or inclusion initiatives Ability to communicate effectively using American Sign Language (Required) Active driver's license and reliable transportation (Required) Must reside in the Las Vegas/Clark County area (Required)
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
This position is largely self-directed and remote-first, requiring strong virtual communication skills and adherence to company values and policies. Duties are performed using a computer and standard office equipment. Regular interaction with team members and external partners occurs via phone, videophone, or text-based platforms. Occasionally required to lift or move up to 20 pounds. Travel may be required up to 70%.
