Your expertise and professionalism is what our patients need at our Behavioral health office located at our Morgan County office located in Mooresville, IN. You will be integral in providing professional medical care as a Medical Assistant to behavioral healthcare patients. Medical Assistant Key Responsibilities: Taking vitals and weight Giving injections Assisting providers Passing medications Answering phone calls Greeting clients Updating patient information Filling out insurance paperwork and prior approvals Helping the provider to complete arrangements for referrals, admissions, and laboratory referrals Screening provider phone calls and assisting with problem calls Giving TB tests for employees Disposing of contaminated supplies Faxing and phoning in of patient medications to pharmacies Maintaining confidentiality and using good judgment within the limits of the CMA guidelines and following department policies and procedures We value your medical assistant experience and education: Medical Assisting Diploma required--but we welcome new grads! Certified Medical Assistant with six months to 1 year experience in a clinical setting preferred.
