Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins following WordPress coding standards Extend and customise WooCommerce and other key plugins as needed Implement responsive, accessible UI across devices Optimise Core Web Vitals and SEO performance Debug and resolve PHP, JS, and database issues in staging & production Perform security audits, backups, and patch management Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate Figma files into pixel-perfect pages Participate in agile ceremonies and code reviews (Git/GitHub flow) Requirements
3+ years professional WordPress development experience Advanced PHP, modern JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/Sass Experience with Gutenberg blocks and popular page builders (Elementor, Bricks) MySQL and database-optimisation skills Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling (GitHub Actions, WP-CLI) Understanding of web accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA) Excellent communication in a distributed team Benefits
