Radiology Tech- Mammography

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Radiology Tech- Mammography. As a Radiology Tech- Mammography at MercyOne, you will performs radiographic procedures at a level not requiring constant guidance or assistance. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment in applying prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. Assumes responsibility for particular areas of specialization as assigned. Performs mammography procedures including needle localizations, etc. Adheres to MQSA guidelines and overall technologist's responsibility for the mammography MQSA program. Maintains required educational credits in mammography. Takes part in annual FDA/State of Iowa Bureau of Radiological Health Inspections. Performs all routine radiographic procedures and views according to department procedures. Performs and/or assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Prepares and/or administers contrast media, i.e., orally, IV, rectally, etc. per department and Radiologist's policies. Schedule: Full Time Days, Rotating Rotating shifts (6a-2:30p, 7a-3:30p, or 8a-4:30p) and every 3rd weekend 6a-2:30p General Requirements: Must be ARRT registered in Radiology and registered by the state of Iowa. Must be Mammography registered within the first year of position. Prefer one year of experience in hospital setting. Is able to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team. Is able to perform a variety of duties characterized by frequent change. Must be BLS certified. Education: Completion of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
