Shipping and Receiving Coordinator
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of inventory management and logistics. This position requires attention to detail and efficiency in handling supplies and equipment, organizing storage areas, and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Coordinator will also be responsible for delivering supplies, building custom crates, and performing general labor duties. Responsibilities: Deliver supplies and equipment to work centers by receiving and transferring items. Schedule materials to be moved to and from the warehouse, coordinating inventory transfers with related work centers. Organize floor space and adhere to storage design principles, recommending improvements. Participate in physical inventory counts, reconcile variances, and input data. Conduct periodic inspections of equipment, troubleshoot breakdowns, perform preventive maintenance, and schedule repairs. Build custom crates using hand and power tools, place items in crates, on skids, and secure for shipping. Perform general labor duties as assigned. Essential Skills: Experience in inventory management and logistics. Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment. Proficiency in SAP and other inventory management software. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Experience in crate building and material handling. Knowledge of storage design principles. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Why Work Here?
