Building Systems Specialist II
The Facilities Planning & Management Department is seeking a qualified candidate for the Building Systems Specialist II position. The Building Systems Specialist II provides building system commissioning for the University including optimizing performance and efficiency of existing systems, and diagnoses and fixes issues with building systems. Example of duties: Investigates and tests building systems Writes and tests program modifications, creates templates and procedures and develops key performance indicators Implements measures to improve efficiency of building systems and meet targeted performance Evaluates the performance of building systems Provides technical services to solve complex BAS operation repair problems Documents results of commissioning efforts including building automation system architecture, operation sequences, standardizing procedures, operator training, etc. About the department: Facilities Planning & Management (FP&M) is an organization dedicated to the maintenance and enhancement of Iowa State University, one of the nation's leading educational and agricultural institutes. May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff. May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity.
