We’re looking for a
Financial Reporting Accountant
who can:
Be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of financial statements in accordance with Generally Acceptable Accounting Principles and Statutory Accounting Principles. Prepare various regulatory filings including the annual/quarterly statutory blanks. Prepare state specific regulatory and premium tax filings. Prepare assigned journal entries in an accurate and timely manner. Prepare various management reports, including reports for senior management. Responsible for A/R delinquency monitoring and account discrepancy investigation. Maintain fixed asset schedules, including the recording to appropriate depreciation and reconciliation to the general ledger.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Bachelor’s degree in accounting with 3+ years of insurance experience. Familiarity with GAAP and SAP accounting principles as they relate to insurance. Effective analysis skills and problem-solving capabilities. High level of proficiency with query tools and Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of Great Plains a plus. Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously. CPA certification preferred.
