Smart Factory platform
to transform how real-time machine data and operator inputs are captured, secured, and used to drive process improvement. We are seeking an
IIoT Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer
to design, deploy, and support the
hybrid infrastructure
that connects the
shop floor to the cloud .
Location:
Greenville, SC
This is an onsite role with travel to other JTEKT facilities.
What You'll Do Networking & Infrastructure : Design and manage a secure and high-availability OT infrastructure, including
servers, firewalls, managed switches, VLANs, and VPNs . Cloud & DevOps : Architect and deploy
hybrid environments
(on-prem + AWS/Azure/GCP) to provide information based on enterprise data. Data Collection : Connect
PLCs, ERP, MES, and human-provided data
with cloud/enterprise platforms to provide real-time visualization and analytics. Database Management : Design, deploy, and manage
relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, etc.)
to support manufacturing data collection, storage, and analytics. Cybersecurity : Apply
IT/OT security standards
(e.g., ISA/IEC 62443, NIST) to safeguard critical manufacturing systems. Automation & Reliability : Employ
CI/CD best practices
to ensure reliable
high-availability systems
(e.g., Kubernetes server clusters, Rancher, Harvester) and Infrastructure-As Code technologies (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) to
automate deployment, monitoring, and disaster recovery . Collaboration : Work with
manufacturing staff, IT teams, and engineering teams
in Japan and Europe to standardize global Industry 4.0 solutions. What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience with
networking equipment
(firewalls, switches) and
on-prem infrastructure
(servers, virtualization, storage). Strong background in
cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
and
DevOps practices
(CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, Terraform/Ansible). Experience with
data engineering
pipelines (ETL, storage, and serving) and the tools to implement it. Experience with
relational database design and management
(PostgreSQL preferred). SQL proficiency
for data extraction, transformation, and reporting. Familiarity with
industrial automation systems
(PLCs, MES, sensors, inspection systems) and process control. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and
product genealogy and traceability
(manufacturing history, movement tracking, process control). Knowledge of
cybersecurity frameworks
for hybrid IT/OT environments. Proficiency in
Linux/Windows administration and scripting . Certifications in
cloud, networking, or security
